Ata Atogho, MD, FACOG, is a seasoned Board-Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist. At Metro-Miami OB/GYN Associates in North Miami Beach, Florida, Dr. Atogho offers comprehensive and compassionate care to patients in Miami Dade and Broward County.
Dr. Atogho offers optimal wellness to his patients by focusing on preventative care and definitive therapy when possible. Dr. Atogho is an eminent Gynecologic Surgeon and offers minimally invasive solutions to problems such as pelvic pain, fibroids, abnormal bleeding, pelvic prolapse, and more. He is certified to perform major gynecologic procedures laparoscopically and by using the da Vinci® Surgical System, which offers rapid recovery and return to normalcy. He is well respected by his peers and loved by his community and patients.
A proud and esteemed alumnus of Howard University in Washington D.C., Dr. Atogho earned his Bachelor of Science Degree and his Medical Degree from Howard University. This esteemed gentleman then completed his four-year residency at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During this time, he was honored for his outstanding surgical skills and commitment to medical education.
While practicing in South Florida, Dr. Atogho has been a leader in his community and has been at the forefront of promoting medical education. He has and continues to serve as Obstetrics and Gynecology Assistant Professor and Clerkship Director of several medical schools. He has been the recipient of multiple awards and honors during his remarkable career. Dr. Atogho prides himself in offering the best of himself to the community he serves.

Dr. Adams
Nelson L. Adams, MD, FACOG – Board-Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist, is a medical leader passionately committed to eliminating racial and ethnic inequality in health. An exceptional achiever, earning high recognition both scholastically and among medical peers, Dr. Adams is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the Honorary Doctor of Laws.
An esteemed alumnus of Howard University, Dr. Adams earned his Medical Degree at Meharry Medical College in 1978 and completed his four-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Emory University in 1982. He is an active member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He founded the Maternal Child Health Initiative (MCHI), an award-winning model for providing care to at-risk, low-income, pregnant women in 1992. The highly successful MCHI utilized a multi-tiered intervention that addressed the psychological, social, and medical needs of expectant mothers. Throughout his fruitful career, Dr. Adams’ leadership and community service has reached across academic, religious, fraternal, and charitable institutions. He currently hosts a weekly Radio Talk Show—Health Talk on Gospel AM1490 WMBM.
Dr. Adams offers comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology care for patients beginning at the age of 13 years. His services include pregnancy care, gynecologic surgeries, pap smears, treatment of ectopic pregnancies, ovarian cysts and many other services needed for optimal women’s wellness.
Dr. Adams is a past president of the Dade County Medical Association (DCMA). After several years on the board of Trustees of the National Medical Association (NMA) he served as the 107th National President. Dr. Adams has served as the Chairman of the Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Jackson North Medical Center for several years. He also served as Clinical Professor in the Department of OB/GYN of the College of Medicine of Florida International University (2010-2018). Currently he serves as President of the Medical Staff (Chief of Staff) at Jackson North Medical Center. Additionally, he chairs the Board of Directors of the Sunshine State Health Plan and of Meharry Medical College in Nashville Tennessee.

Miss Kia N. Prescott, APRN
Kia N. Prescott, DNP, APRN, WHNP-BC has built her nursing career and advanced her skill set providing healthcare within the community. She is an advocate in supporting families, women and children and increasing access to healthcare, while fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion. Dr. Prescott is an asset to the healthcare profession in the collaborative efforts made with a multitude of healthcare professionals and large healthcare systems, to decrease healthcare and social disparities on a local, state, and federal level.
She holds a Doctorate Degree of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. She is board certified (BC) through the National Certification Corporation (NCC) and was nominated with the prestigious title as one of “South Florida’s Top Healthcare Professionals in 2019” by the Miami Media Group, LLC.
Miss Rachelle Bruno, APRN
Rachelle Bruno, NP, is a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner at Metro-Miami OB/GYN Associates in North Miami Beach, Florida. She has been in a collaborative practice with private OB/GYN doctors for more than 25 years.
Rachelle received her Bachelor’s of Science in nursing from New York University in 1978. As a registered nurse, she worked in the labor and delivery rooms in New York and Miami for 16 years. She then attended the OB/GYN nurse practitioner program at Emory University’s School of Medicine in Atlanta where she received her certification in 1995. She has been board-certified by the National Certification Corporation for the Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties (NCC) since 1996.
Although Rachelle is trained and experienced in the care of family practice patients, she focuses on patient education and the primary health care needs of women from puberty to menopause. She is fluent in four languages and has developed many teaching aids and videos in English, French, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. She has developed a course on childbirth preparation classes and comes with a wealth of experience in women’s health care.
Her gynecologic and obstetrical care includes but is not limited to breast examinations, pelvic examinations, birth control, sexually transmitted diseases, vaginitis, premenstrual syndrome, prenatal and postnatal care, menopausal symptoms, hormonal imbalances, management of infertility clients, and some in-office procedures.
Rachelle treats patients with respect and dignity. She always provides service with a smile. Her mission in life is to care for women of all ages.
